Astrid is a seasoned professional with over 25 years in of business development and management, aid for development experience and grant and investment sourcing practice in Europe, Africa and the United States. She specializes in: evidence-based policy analysis and development; impact investment for transformational economic development through responsible and inclusive business and aid-for-trade; and sustainable results-oriented foreign aid project design and delivery through private sector-led public-private partnerships and collaborative solutions for rural and agricultural development in sub-Saharan Africa. She works with government, private sector and nonprofit organizations to realize triple bottom-line opportunities in the region by turning policy and ideas into action-oriented economic development; by minimizing risk and maximizing resources and people; by designing and delivering context-specific training and capacity-building, with a special focus on women, youth and smallholders; and by implementing participative evaluation, monitoring and impact assessment. She is trilingual (English, Spanish, French) and currently lives between Washington DC and Dakar, Senegal.
